Artist Profile

I am a Glasgow based artist, specialising in mixed media and digital art. My artwork takes a critical view of social issues.  Often referencing feminism, my work explores the relationships between underground movements and fine art. Using a variety of materials and mark making helps me to convey a dynamic and raw offering that can be jarring against traditional paintings. While I use a variety of materials and processes in each project my methodology is consistent. Although there may not always be material similarities between the different works they are linked by recurring formal concerns and through the subject matter.   The subject matter of each body of work determines the materials and the forms of the work. ​During research and production new areas of interest arise and lead to ideas for the next body of work.
